The great thing about the Lovell team is the common focus on helping people and reaching the best outcomes for our clients! It is fun, rewarding, challenging and never a dull moment. We are all passionate about the industry and the relationships we build with our fantastic buyers and vendors! Here is a short description about each of us so that you can get a feel for what we are like.
Martin Lovell - Principal
Martin began his career in Real Estate in 1991. During his early years as a sales person, it became increasingly apparent to Martin that the industry was in dire need of a change. He was very unhappy with the lack of protection afforded to consumers, and the lack of accountability most mainstream Real Estate Agents possessed. So Martin decided to make a difference and researched many real estate systems to come up with the philosophies that Lovell Real Estate is based upon.
Since starting Lovell Real Estate his primary aim has been to provide an alternative, honest form of Real Estate sales to mainstream home owners.
Sue Anderson - Sales
Sue embarked on her career in Real Estate in 2000 after experiencing the hassles of trying to purchase her first home. After dealing with over 40 different agents over 12 months Sue thought, If these people can make a living out of Real Estate, then I would do way better, because they just don't listen! That was enough for Sue, and she decided to go into Real Estate to make a difference. Five years down the track Sue now owns several of her own rental properties and she still loves her career now as much as the day she started!
Rachel Kibur - Admin
Originally from Hamilton Rachel & her husband have settled in Tauranga after retuning from their 2 year working holiday in the UK. Rachel joined the team at Lovell's in March08 and enjoys her role as administrator & sales support. With a background in hotels and hospitality she understands the importance of customer care and providing exceptional service. When you phone Lovell's you will be greeted with a smile that can be heard down the line.
Karen Thomas - Sales
Karen relishes her career in Real Estate, she is able to share her passion for homes and helping people to attain their goals. She loves living and working in Tauranga and enjoys being part of a team that work with a strong belief in ethical behaviour in their professional lives.
Karen has a service background, has owned her own business and through her own experiences has a good idea of how people like to be treated; she understands how important it is to be listened to. She looks forward to working in this industry for many years to come.
Steve Dougherty – Sales
Steve is a local Tauranga lad having lived here for nearly 40 years. His local knowledge and passion for real estate makes him a perfect addition to the Lovell Real Estate team.
Steve’s background has primarily been in the photographic industry where he managed both retail and wholesale businesses for nearly 24 years. More recently Steve has worked in China in the executive management team for a $300million property development and for a commercial property management company here in Tauranga.
He has a strong focus on customer needs and providing the best possible service.
Merlin
Merlin is the smallest in size but the biggest personality in the Lovell team. Merlin is a Maltese with a loveable disposition. As you enter our office you will be greeted by cotton wool on legs. No longer a puppy, Merlin has now matured into the role of Public Relations and office Psychologist. Merlin is always ready with a smile and unconditional love.
